This painting is not only a beautiful work of art but also a personal testament to my journey as an artist. Before this piece, I had a very rigid way of thinking when it came to my art process. I struggled with perfectionism and decision paralysis, always seeking to create the perfect sketch before even starting to paint.
 
But this painting changed everything. During the peak of a psychedelic trip, I broke free from these constraints and dove headfirst into the creative process. I no longer only saw the flower hat I had sketched out; I saw all the possibilities within the outline I had created. I no longer needed a reference photo or a perfect sketch before starting to paint. Instead, I trusted my own instincts and painted what I saw and what I wanted.
 
This experience was a revelation, and it taught me to let go of my fears and embrace the unknown. As a result, this painting is not only a representation of my creativity, but also a reminder of the power of risk-taking and self-trust. I hope that viewers of this painting will be inspired to break free from their own creative constraints, and to trust in their own instincts and abilities.
 
In addition to its personal significance, this painting also has a broader message. The fairy's wings, inspired by the endangered Queen Alexandra's Birdwing butterfly, are a reminder of the importance of preserving our natural world. As such, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this painting will be donated to The Birdwing Project, a charity dedicated to preserving the butterfly and its habitat. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that this beautiful species continues to thrive for generations to come.
